Confidence: the feeling or belief that one can have faith in or rely on someone or something. So confidence in yourself means you have faith in yourself, your skills and your capabilities.
Confidence has an impact on everything you do: in the way you present yourself, how you speak.
Improving my confidence
For a long time I believed that the way to improve my confidence was to work on things I wasn’t good enough at. That gave me some traction but later I came to realize that the more you learn, the more you are aware of how little you know. Focused only on what you are missing, what you don’t know already, actually brings your confidence down.
Think about it:
If you are constantly asking for improvement feedback, things you have to work on how can you grow your confidence?
If you are always focused on your weaknesses and how far away you are from your goal how can you grow your confidence?
My proposal is to turn this around by helping you discover your strengths, things you are good at by default, start focusing on them and learn how can you start to use them as your go-to every day, see small wins and celebrate them.
